Two weeks ago I photographed a family of 5. Mom, dad, and three boys. The following week I photographed another family of 5. Mom, dad and three girls.

It was fun to see the difference between the two. I grew up in a family of 3 girls so I can relate. It actually felt like I was looking back at my sisters and I 15 years ago.

When I arrived to the house I noticed the cutest little play house. Right away I wanted to take some pictures of the girls playing in it. I have lots more photos from this session coming soon but I wanted to share a couple now.

When I was a little girl I dreamed of having a play house like this. So cute.

After a few minutes I told the girls to give me some sass. They didn’t disappoint.

BAM. Sass attack. I knew they had it. Like I said, I used to be one.

Here are the rest of the pictures from yesterday’s post.

Good thing she’s cute… hubs doesn’t share his ice cream with just anyone.

Here is a fun family. I might be a little biased because I’m related to them 🙂 This is my uncle’s family. Also known as my mom’s brother. I took some photos in their house a while back and had a lot of fun. Their house a perfect setup for in-home photography. Here are my favorites.

See all this lovely hair? Days later she donated it all to Locks of Love.

As you can tell, this is a family full of musicians. Eli also plays the trombone.

This one of Savannah is probably one of my favorites from the whole session. She’s such a funny girl.

Meet the Johnstons. They’re expecting baby #2 in March and they don’t know the sex. It’s fun to meet people who decide to keep it a secret. They did it with their daughter and they intend on going till the end.

Since it’s still pretty cold in January we did photos in their house. It had the perfect decor for indoor photos so I was excited. LOTS of windows for natural light. I’m also doing newborn photos when baby arrives so I’ve already planned where we will be doing more photos.

I had so many favorites that it was hard to narrow it down. Here they are:

She is going to be a big sister.

Big sister is 16 months old and already can sign so many words. Mom’s sister is hearing impaired so it was important to her that her kids knew how to sign as well. Big sister is showing us the letter R.

Uh oh, mom and dad are in trouble! Hopefully they have unlimited texting.

There were SOOO many in this series that were awesome so I decided to show you two.

Only a couple more months before the little one arrives!

Last year in December I photographed the Brown Family. At that point, they were only a family of three. This year in November I photographed them again, but they had a new addition to the family. Meet baby Tristyn. To their surprise she was born a couple weeks early  Thanksgiving afternoon at 6lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long. So as you’ve figured out, it’s taken me a little bit to post these up.

There were so many of my favorites from the session, so you’ll notice a few more to preview than normal. These were taken when she was only about 10 days old.

All photos were taken using natural light in the home of the family.

Eyes wide open!

Snuggling up to daddy.

Christmas suit!

Dad is a firefighter and I loved the bracelet.

Can’t forget Kona.

Here is the wrap up from this post.

Crazy how fast time has gone. I’ve been showcasing a couple of these pictures in random posts, but here are some of my favorites.

Starting with a classical Christmas card photo.

I must say, these guys have the best natural light in their kitchen. We used it when we did newborn photos and again I use it here. It’s absolutely perfect.

This could quite possibly look like a jail photo 😉
